Mods Anthology

Mods Anthology is the greatest modules compilation ever. Issued in 1996 you may find all the modules, chip, sids... released between the early beginnings of the demoscene till the mid 90's.

Without a doubt, if there's something you need to have in your collection it's this 4 CD compilation on which you may find all the musics that have been released

This collection took Franck "Gryzor" Nicolas 6 years of hard collecting, 6 months of hard author-contacting to be put together. He asked to all the musicians in the demoscene to participate. And beleive me... back in the 90's it was a hard task as Internet was not there yet.

It is a 4-CD set, crammed full of music from the peak of the creativity that was the "tracker scene". All the best composers from the tracking scene are here, presenting their complete works on this titanic collection.

A total of 18,096 modules!! More than 2gig of music. You have more than 1000 hours of demoscene music here as many informations about the authors (info-file, picture!)

Mods Anthology is interesting at many levels but also as many unreleased mods from the most famous composers have been released in this compilation

Musics on the CD's are in the following formats : MODs - FT1 - S3M - XM - MTM - IT - Amiga Synthetics

The CD collection is a Multiplatform product (readable under ms-dos, win, mac, unix, AmigaDOS) - and player programs are also included. The modules are not zipped or packed in any other way, which makes it easy to play them straight from the CD.

All the musics are sorted and arranged by authors - and many of them are also featured with photos, interviews, background info etc.

Unfortunately this compilation is not available anymore on CD. But you can find the downloadable version on the web
