Who have never heard of mods anthology. The largest collection of music that is never released on the demoscene. This collection took Nicolas “Gryzor” Franck 7 years to put together. It is a 4-CD set, crammed full of music from the peak of the creativity that was the “tracker scene”. All the best composers from the tracking scene are here, presenting their complete works on this titanic collection. There are a total of 18,096 modules!!
A few words about this Massive compilation
- 4 CD-ROMs – 18000+ mods – Permission asked to the authors
- Multiplatform product (readable under ms-dos, win, mac, unix, AmigaDOS)
- All mods sorted by composers in priority, then groups and kinds
- MODs – FT1 – S3M – XM – MTM – IT – Amiga Synthetics
- Many informations about the authors (info-file, picture!)
- Many previously unreleased mods from the most famous composers
- 6 years of hard collecting, 6 months of hard author-contacting.
- Many players and trackers included for each machine
- All modules stored in uncompressed form
- Long filenames! (not ’8+3′)
2 GB of music is more than 1000 hours of listening!
Thus the composers of the best melodies of demos, games and other mass responded favorably to the project. Some (like strobe, Delorean, Moby, …) have the same opportunity to publish their unpublished, or complete some of their work especially for this set of CDs. There’s something for everyone (dance, rock, slow, funk, rap, …) and in all formats (modules Protracker, S3M, OctaMED, Sid, …). This is a gold mine.
This compilation is not available anywhere. If you want to get this part of the demoscene history only a few copies are still available. Feel free to contact me if you want one.
The price is 17€ + shipping.
If some of you wonder where theses CD’s are coming from. Gryzor sold Gandalf a few of them to sell them thru Ace BBS association. 20 years later we’ve found back a package in which there are still a few Mods Anthology’s CD’s.
Don’t miss the opportunity to get a piece of demoscene history. For sure it’s gonna be the last.
There are still a very limited amount of copies. So… Get it fast.

Oh ok. Did not know that Mods Antho have turned into a Shareware. To be honest MA was already available on torrent. But real musicians want the original boxes :)
Just if you don’t mind, Mod’s anthology has also been pushed to archive.org very recently. (I’ve nothing to do with that and it seems they met somebody’s approval to do so)
